  • Japan. Yuvraj Adhikari, the CEO of Nepal Airlines Corporation, has emphasized the need for professional improvements in the company’s services, ensuring that there will be no compromise on the quality of service compared to competitive airlines, such as Nepal Airlines, as he spoke at a welcome and reception program organized by the Non-Resident Nepali Association National Coordination Council in Japan.

“Arrangements are being made to align the national flag carrier’s aircraft with Japanese language provisions and international standards, including fare adjustments, to ensure service alignment,” said CEO Adhikari, adding, “We urge all Nepali nationals to cherish the national flag carrier and call upon the government for necessary support.”

Highlighting that Nepal Airlines has been serving from 10 stations internationally, CEO Adhikari also informed that plans are underway to commence services from Osaka, Japan, in the near future.

Furthermore, in the same program, Dr. Durga Bahadur Subedi, the Nepalese Ambassador to Japan, appealed to other competitive airlines to make Nepal Airlines more affordable in comparison to other airlines, emphasizing the need to use Nepal Airlines, especially for diplomatic purposes.

“For the sake of honoring the flag of Nepal, Nepal Airlines must be used,” stated Ambassador Dr. Subedi, “If the services are better and cheaper than others, then use Nepal Airlines.”

Senior advocate Sushil Kumar Pant, who also participated in the interaction, expressed his views on the rights of property and equality in the context of NRN citizenship and other Nepalese citizenship in Japan. He expressed confidence in the government’s commitment to improving the situation and urged the need for immediate action to correct anomalies.

As part of the international engagement, NRNA Japan President Navin Neupane demanded immediate improvements in services, such as transporting the bodies of deceased Nepalese nationals to Nepal free of charge, bringing them to Nepal, making cargo services cheaper and more accessible, expressing confidence that the corporation would implement the received recommendations for improvement.

The program, conducted under the chairmanship of NRNA Japan President Navin Neupane, honored Executive Chairman Adhikari and Senior Advocate Pant with certificates of appreciation. The program was coordinated by Secretary-General Tikaram Kharel and Vice-Chairman Suvas Lamichhane, who also delivered welcome remarks.
